I want to share some background on the Sweater strain of gamefowl since I got them, but I also want to honor the requests of my friends in the Philippines, Mexico, and here at home. It all started around 49 years ago when I first fell in love with game fowl. I’m 60 years old now, and I still enjoy game fowl as much as I ever have. I have bred, fought, fed, bought, cured, and handled cocks from many various strains and hybrids. I have probably done as much breeding experiments as most men my age. I don’t think there is a “best strain fowl” or a “best feeder.” There are a lot of both in class “A,” and if you go to a derby for real money these days, you’re sure to meet both of them. Money and wits in the cocking game have ended the days of a monopoly in the cocking game.

Both of the Sweater lines have been involved in rooster fights in the US, Mexico, and the Philippines, as well as with their Hatch Stuards and Kelso. They live in Alabama, where their poultry house located.
